Located in Boulogne-Billancourt, facing the Seine, in the television media triangle, the building built in the early ’90s no longer met international tertiary-building standards.
Located in the triangle of television media in BoulogneBillancourt next to the Seine, this building from the early 1990s underwent a major renovation so as to adapt it to international business services standards and environmental norms and to give it a new identity.
The change of local urban rules made it possible to give the old one-directional building a second perspective and landscaped terraces looking towards the center of the plot.
After surveys and structural diagnoses, the project turned to a new function
including an open spatial set-up and a composition of walls based on a ventilated double glass skin, inside of which sun breaks were installed.
This crystalline envelope is patterned in square modules 3 meters on each side. The panels are folded diagonally, forming two triangles separated from one another by a sharp edge.
The first reflects the sky, while the second reflects the incessant movements of the city. Given the strength of the wind, the folding becomes a stiffener, offering better resistance to the pressure.
