A working-class town to the east of Paris, Romainville is historically known for its market gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located near a social housing estate composed of high-rises and towers blocks built in the 1960s, the project dissolves this heritage by fragmenting its built masses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new urban arrangement tempers the feeling of being shut in and highlights the wealth of framework and views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plants create the event, by sliding between the gaps to form a lived-in inner park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This domestic, nearly common, aspect is accented by the terraces, that are detached from the walls and connected by wooden footbridges, like tree houses.
