The surrounding urban fabric consists of buildings dating from the 1960s and 1970s. It is characterized by the free placement of buildings on their plots. The building is no longer attached to the street. Serving as a supporting structure, balcony edge, shade device, and terrace all at once, this grid weaves a unique and iconic graphic design into the skyline of V\u00e9nissieux, reflecting the very identity of the city.<br><br>Because the city needs to be re-enchanted, our proposal is based on a musical articulation \u2014 a historical articulation between heritage and modernity, an urban and geometric articulation expressed through a bioclimatic framework that thickens along the exposed facades and creates large terraces and balconies.
