“Symbiose” / Symbiosis

The Rueil project is composed of four simple, separate, and distinct volumes that together form an open and airy block.

This fragmentation addresses the high density of the ZAC (joint development zone) while creating high-quality housing with multiple orientations.

This urban layout creates voids, interstitial spaces, vistas, and neighborhood pockets connected through a large interior landscape.

The four buildings adopt distinct architectural styles, yet each proposes a contemporary and understated reinterpretation of classical architecture through the superimposition of three registers: the base, the main body, and the attic.

The volumes are hollowed, shifted, and sculpted to offer residents generous loggias and to break down the overall massing. The block composition offers a variety of scales and architectural expressions that blend smoothly with the surrounding suburban fabric.

The use of light-colored brick, shutters, and light bronze railings completes the project’s material and color palette.

At times, slender exterior staircases connect certain terraces and gardens at the heart of the block, fostering a pleasant and lively atmosphere.
